Rothko
Welcome to the rothko gallery. Each ketubah here was done as a specific commission and each one is an original watercolor painting, not a print.
What is the difference between an original design and a print?
can i make a print from an original design?
The ketubot in this gallery are all inspired by the painter mark rothko. rothko was a pioneer of the abstract colorfield movement in the 1940s and 50s, a jewish artist who was a major part of the vibrant post war art scene in new york city. his work took color to another level and made the structure of a piece just as important. i play with his structures and proportions and add some very subtle text to his colors.
they range in price from $2500 to $3500 depending on the complexity of the design... the more complexity in the painting, the higher the price is likely to be.
Availability
I am only taking orders for original work for wedding dates from September 2012 & forward. If your wedding is before then please look in the print section for a ketubah from the selection that you see there.
