text written in walnut ink and 23 kt. gold leaf accents on vellum, sewn with gold thread to mexican fig bark paper with flowers and a bhutan khadi paper in natural tsasho, both handmade.

this can be done with many different kinds of papers, creating a quilted effect with the layers.
